Burrrrrrrr !

Why Oh Why did I leave Florida...I was fine I thought till my husband (Stanley) just told me the wind chill factor was minus 7....BURRRRRR!...But then if you could see what I have on ( Shorts and Tee Shirt ) ...I keeping hoping by dressing like this i could convince myself that its not really cold out.....Who am I fooling!!!!! Enough is enough now, I need spring! Please Hurry and get here.....They had winter in Clearwater last week it was 56....Right!..But they do have winter down there, One morning I got up and looked out the front window, yelled for Stan to pack the car we were going back too Kentucky....The temperature at dropped to 28 over night and the sprinklers had come on and we had ICE hanging from our Palm Trees in our front yard! NO Kidding we really did....for about 2 hours I wasnt home sick...then the temperature rose into the high 60's...Infact two years ago on New Years Day we were swimming in the pool....2005. You cant do that up here unless your a Polar Bear......

Snow

When we lived in Florida the one thing I missed was the snow...I dont think so anymore! when I went to bed last night about 12:30 I dont remember seeing any white flakes coming out of the sky?...But this morning when I woke up at 4:45 am, there it was blanketing my yard again! Only this time it was the good-stuff, you know the kind that makes good snow-balls...Ask Stanley when you see him I got him with a few on our way out this morning..He threatened to wash my face in it...ha ha....but by this afternoon it was almost gone...They say we are going to get more tomorrow night and next Tuesday?...Maybe not too much...But I did miss this white fluffy stuff....I know I must be totaly out of my mind...Oh well!

Birthdays

Well January has started so that means a whole new year full of Birthdays..January I have 3 birthdays, 8th, 17th, and 19th...February: 12th and 19th...March 1st, 3rd, 4th, April 3rd, 6th, 11th, 11th, 14th, (new one ) and the 29th...May 2nd, 14th, 17th,22nd...June 0, July 11th...August 25th, 27th...Sept 5th, 8th,12th,19th,23rd...October 21st..November 22nd, 26th..December 12th,24th,27th....Either birthdays need to stop or i need to get a job!!!!!!Had to go to Home Depot this morning..dont like home depot / or lowes...Kohls is my thing....My grandaughter Ariana is having a PJ Party here at my house Friday if everyone is feeling better she has only invited 4 little girls..So I guess we will have Pizza and all sorts of junk food...Glad we have an up stairs..ha ha....told the parents they have to pick girls up by 9am on Saturday we have basketball games at church....this should be fun I will blog on it if i recouperate from all of this....

Roosters, Roosters and More Roosters

When we first moved to the country, MANY YEARS AGO WHEN MOBY DICK WAS A MINNOW..my husband decided to raise laying hens! so he set out on the adventure by buying 100 baby chicks out of the owen county electric mag.. While waiting on the chicks to arrive he and the boys built a pen, nice laying racks, the whole nine yards..Then the chicks arrived one by one we put them in the pen....starting feeding laying mesh like we were told..chicks kept getting bigger and bigger then something unusual happened, they started fighting, you guessed it they were all ROOSTERS!!!!!....so Stanleys brother-in-law took all but one (left us with a rooster) and gave us 16 laying hens...well eggs were fine for a while ( I still bought mine in store) then newness wore off got rid of chickens..kept rooster...Lonnies job to feed rooster, the rest of us were afraid of him...Lonnie would carry a ball bat out to feed the old root...till one day it came after Lonnie and Lonnie wacked him with the bat...The dog wouldnt even eat the old bird....You liked that old BIRD didnt you Lonnie?

A boat - drainage ditch! and a grandson.

If it doesnt quit raining for a while, we will have to go get the boat, or dig a drainage ditch! good thing we have a flower garden wall around our back porch, or we would probably be floating by now ( cause I can't swim)...But I guess it could be worse, it could be snow, then in that case I would need a St. Bernard and a sleigh!; but first we would have to dig our way out...Saw a Robin in our back yard the other day! Is that a good sign? I thought Robins you only saw in spring and summer...Thought Lonnie was coming up today for lunch, but he never showed..He probably was afraid he would wash away...I am going down and watching Landon next Tuesday, he is so cute, he puts his book on this little vegetable ben and preaches then he sings..Lonnie has taught him well...(except for the singing)... Well I thought I just saw a boat float by--Hummmmm! Later...
